6'11" 240 lb center Jordy Tshimanga has committed to the 2017 Nebraska basketball recruiting class. The Huskers beat out Oklahoma State, Minnesota, and UNLV for Jordy's services under the basket.
Jordy just returned this weekend from a recruiting trip at UNLV but the Rebels didn't seem to have any sway to get him to come out to the Nevada desert. He was also originally scheduled to visit Oklahoma State this weekend but cancelled when they picked up 7' center Lucas N’Guessan from the Netherlands. So now you have a reason to thank the Dutch.
Jordy is a southpaw shooter who averaged 18 points and 14 rebounds a game last year. With his size, he should be able to contribute early to fill the hole in the Husker lineup.
The Huskers now have one more scholarship to give in the 2017 class. With the amount of guards and small forwards on the team look for the Cornhuskers to pull another big man to fill the roster.
