Two more start times were released for the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Wednesday morning.
Two more game times set for next season.— Nebraska Football (@HuskerFBNation) May 11, 2016
The first two games the Huskers will play in October will have a start time of 2:30 Central in Lincoln.
- Homecoming weekend will have the Illinois Fighting Illini coming to Lincoln on October 1st, and the game will be in the middle of the afternoon. The Huskers will be looking to avenge the disappointing loss to Illinois last season, when a combination of bad luck and bad Offense gave the Illini a 14-13 victory with all of the home team's scoring in the 4th quarter. This will be the first Big Ten game for new Illinois Head Coach Lovie Smith, who will be coming off a bye week.
- After the Huskers play Illinois, they get a mid-week bye week themselves before heading to Bloomington, Indiana for the first time as a Football team to take on the Hoosiers in their Homecoming game, also scheduled for a 2:30 Central kickoff. This will be the first time since 1978 that the Hoosiers and Huskers have played Football. While Indiana leads the series with 9 wins to Nebraska's 7 and 3 ties, the Huskers have won the last 4 games in the series. All those games were played between 1975-78.
This game, as I mentioned before, comes after Nebraska's bye week. Indiana will be just finishing up a schedule of hosting Michigan State and heading to Ohio State before this game. Speaking of Indiana, looks like they are getting a new field.

Neither game had a Television designation yet attached to it, meaning that we will not know who will carry either game until the normal 6-14 day slot before each game.
