Andrew White III has formally declared for the NBA draft, but has not hired an agent, maintaining his college eligibility. White, who has completed his degree at Nebraska averaged 16.6 points per game, and grabbed 5.9 rebounds per contest.
The NCAA passed Proposal No. 2015-32 which allows for men's basketball student athletes to declare for the the draft and go through the workout phase, while maintaining eligibility to compete in intercollegiate athletics.
White will be able to go through workouts for teams, and the NBA Draft combine, scheduled May 10-15 in Chicago. White will have ten days from the end of the combine to withdraw his name from the draft, and maintain his eligibility if he so chooses to do so.
Losing White would be a blow to Nebraska, as he scored 10 or more points 28 times last season. White provided a perimeter threat for Nebraska, and had a pair of thirty point contests. We wish White the best of luck when making a decision for his future.
