Steve Warren is a former Husker defensive tackle who runs the DREAM Foundation out of Omaha. In 1999, he was a first-team All-Big 12 player, a second-team All-America selection and in 2000 was a third-round draft choice of the Green Bay Packers because he's lucky and has really good taste.
The DREAM Foundation's assists less privileged children and their families by providing positive role models, after-school tutoring programs, life-skills teaching and scholarships to seniors that complete the program.
Spring Game weekend is a big fund-raising weekend for them, with multiple events.
Friday, DREAM holds an annual bowling event at The Mark in Elkhorn. At last check-in there were still lanes available. You may register here. You can have a good time bowling and meet former Huskers, participate in raffles, and if you don't want to bowl you can spectate for $5.
Saturday, DREAM will hold a tailgate event sponsored by Blur Parties from 10 am - 5 pm where there will be more former Huskers, live music, tailgate games, along with a lunch buffet.
More about that here.
If you're not going to the spring game, or the bowling event, and you still want to support Warren's cause, you can always do that as well!
