After dropping a doubleheader last weekend to the Long Beach State Dirtbags, Nebraska looks to get back on track and take down the Northern Colorado Bears in the home opener. Nebraska will send sophomore Garrett King to the mound for his third start of the season, while the Bears will send junior Ian Doughty to the mound.
The Huskers looked to be on their way to rebounding last week after a big series opening victory over the 20th ranked Dirtbags, but the offense went 0-22 with men in scoring position in Saturday's doubleheader leading to a series loss.
The good news for the Huskers is that the Bears are a struggling team, off to an early 3-9 start. The Bears struggle hitting, as they bat .208 as a team. Bears pitching allows opponents to hit .301 while also having an ERA of 5.62
