There was already news of Jake Hammond leaving the Nebraska Cornhuskers Basketball program. Now, two walk-on's will also not be back for Tim Miles.

In the release that confirmed the transfer of Jake Hammond, walk-on's Tanner Borchardt and Johnny Trueblood were also announced as leaving the program.

Per the release on Borchardt & Trueblood:

"...In addition, freshman walk-ons Tanner Borchardt and Johnny Trueblood will not return to the team in 2016-17. Borchardt, who joined the team in October in an open tryout will remain at Nebraska and concentrate on school, while Trueblood has not decided if he will remain at Nebraska to continue his studies or transfer after the semester.

"I also appreciated having Johnny and Tanner with us this season," Miles said. "These are two great young guys.

Borchardt, who walked on the team from Gothenburg HS in Nebraska, only appeared in 9 games for the Huskers. He accumulated 6 points and 9 rebounds in 28 minutes of game time.

Trueblood, who came to Nebraska from Elkhorn South HS in Omaha, also only accumulated 28 minutes in 10 games for Nebrasketball. He totaled 8 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists in his season.

We wish both men well.
