Nebraska Baseball Vs. Purdue: Game 2 Gamethread

Nebraska looks to clinch series against the Boilermakers

After an early onslaught propelled the Huskers to victory yesterday, the Huskers look to clinch the series with the Boilermakers this afternoon. Freshman Jake McSteen gets his second weekend start in a row, while Shane Bryant gets the start for Purdue.

Nebraska will look to stay hot, as the Huskers have won eleven of their past twelve contests. Nebraska has also won three straight games away from Hawks Field, something that they have not done since the 2014 season when they took three straight from Michigan State on the road. Nebraska still has a ways to go to match the seven game road winning streak it had in 2014.

Also in action, is Nebraska Softball, as they continue their spring break road swing in Illinois for a doubleheader after taking game one of the series last night, by a final score of 10-2. Nebraska is 19-9 (1-0) so far, and looks to be a tournament team again.
