It's one of the most well-respected traditions that anyone that thinks about with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. More than the Tunnel Walk, staying till the game is over, even the sellout streak.
The walk-on program.
There are kids that would rather sit and pay for their school and play with the Big Red N on their helmets than toil anywhere else with a free ride.
While it's not for everyone, nine men this year heeded the call and will be preferred walk-on's with the program. These are who were listed with the release by the University of Nebraska, so if you know someone and they are not on this list, have patience and it should come through.
I'm very excited to announce that I have committed to walk on to play football for the University of Nebraska. GBR pic.twitter.com/tjUdo8vXKp
