Sometimes, plans don't go as how you want them to go. When that happens, sometimes it also means that dreams do come true. For one in-state kid, he gets his wish.

Norfolk Catholic TE/DE David Engelhaupt makes it 20 commits for the Huskers with his verbal today. He was just offered yesterday, after the recruitment of Dez Fitzpatrick fell through for Nebraska.
Englehaupt, who visited Nebraska back on September 26th, was committed to Wyoming up to today, where he made his verbal back on July 4th of this year.
Englehaupt also had offers from North Dakota, Northern Iowa, South Dakota and South Dakota State among other schools.
Englehaupt is a fallback plan for sure, and there's no way that you can say he's not. However, I'd rather give a chance to a kid that Nebraska has seen, talked to and been in contact with for a while.
It's not the best position, but Nebraska is taking a chance on him. And, as a Nebraska boy who wished he was good enough for one when he was a kid, you can't ask for more.
The Huskers do get a little bump up one spot in the 247 national ratings with this commitment, but are looking for more today.
Keep hanging with CN as we give you all the goods for the low low price of FREE now, and later on!
