If you haven't figured it out by now, Jessica Shepard is a really, really good basketball player. And she's still got three more years left at Nebraska. For the fifteenth time this season, Shepard topped the 20 point mark, pacing NU with 26 in their 73-66 win over #17 Michigan State. Natalie Romeo, NU's other stalwart scorer poured in 25 points of her own. The win bumps NU to 17-8 and currently sits in 6th place in the Big Ten race. With four games left in the regular season, they sit a game behind Indiana and Michigan State with a touch matchup vs. league leader Ohio State in Columbus, OH on Thursday.
In addition to scoring 25 points, Romeo set the season record for three pointers made in a season at Nebraska, hitting five on the night. Now with 90 on the season, Romeo passed Kiera Hardy and Amy Stephens to top the all-time charts at NU.
