The Nebraska Cornhuskers were picked to finish in the bottom half of the 13 team league. That is better than Wisconsin which is so bad at Baseball, they just don't bother to play.

The three players to watch on Nebraska's team was RHP's Colton Howell & Derek Burkhamper, as well as Outfielder Ryan Boldt. You won't see Burkhamper for a while, however, as he was suspended for the first 2 weeks of the season by Head Coach Darin Erstad for the generic "violation of team rules".
Nebraska comes off a 2015 season where they finished 34-23 on the year, but only had a 9-14 record in B1G play. That was good for 8th in the 13 team league, barely advancing into th Big Ten Baseball Torunament. They went winless in the B1G Tournament in Minneapolis, killing any chance of making the NCAA Tournament. The highlight of the season was a sweet at home of Texas, but the Huskers went 13-16 after that series, losing their final 6 games of the year.
The 2016 season starts with the first 9 games of the season on the road, starting with a 3 game set vs. the College of Charleston starting next Friday, February 19th.
