The Nebraska Cornhuskers seems to lose a game they shouldn’t every season. 2014: Incarnate Word, 2015: Samford and now 2016 Gardner-Webb. The Huskers had no energy either on offense or defense Sunday afternoon. Gardner-Webb played inspired basketball and wanted this win more than Nebraska did.
There honestly wasn't much good in this basketball game. Webster did have 17 points and Watson had 14 points. That’s about it. Nebraska played uninspired basketball. The Huskers had 8 days off for Finals Week. Finals are hard, I can say that with authority as I am a senior at UNL. They are stressful and complicated. But that can’t really be the excuse here. The Huskers should be a team like Gardner-Webb 10/10 times. And that didn’t happen on Sunday.
Nebraska can’t find offense. There was some questionable decisions made by Tim Miles today as well. Why was Glynn Watson, one of Nebraska’s leading shooters, on the bench? Why didn't he start the game? Where is the offense going to come from going forward? There are a lot more questions than answers coming from this game. Where does Nebraska go from here? This is one of those losses we have seen these past few years under Tim Miles. Will it ever change? Nebraska will look to win one more non-conference game, finishing 6-6 going into Big Ten play.
Quote Of The Day
