Flakes is all over the map today, literally as we look at the homestretch for volleyball, check in on other fall sports, and peek at the world's largest radio telescope. We also look at Alabama's use of former NFL players to be on their scout squad. I mean, who else can beat the Tide?

The first snow is on the horizon here at the ranch. We should not get much here, but I am still mourning the end of our beautiful fall weather. We still have green grass and I just picked the last of the bell peppers this week.

The #1 Husker volleyball team takes on Penn State (#15) tonight at the Devaney Center. The Nittany Lions took Nebraska to five sets in their last match in Happy Valley. The race for the Big Ten title is incredibly tight as their are five teams mathematically alive with five matches left to play. Nebraska meets three of them in this final stretch.
