Per his pregame radio show on the Huskers Sports Network, Head Coach Mike Riley confirmed that Tommy Armstrong will start. Armstrong was cleared out of concussion protocol, working out with the team Thursday afternoon wearing a no-contact jersey.
Armstrong, the Senior from Cibolo, Texas, was carted off the field last week in the Huskers 62-3 loss to Ohio State. He was knocked unconscious as he was hit running out of bounds, bouncing his head on the artificial turf of Ohio Stadium.
TV cameras showed Armstrong being transported to a local Columbus hospital, but returned later in the game and joined the team on the sideline.
