Some quick news and notes from Mike Riley’s availability after practice Thursday as the Nebraska Cornhuskers end prep work for their game vs. Indiana Saturday:
- Running back Devine Ozigbo, who Riley stated was doubtful for the game during Monday’s press conference, will dress and play this weekend according to Riley. Ozigbo turned an ankle in the Huskers last game vs. Illinois.
- Guard Tanner Farmer & wideout Alonzo Moore are also ready to contribute, per Riley. Wideout Jordan Westerkamp and tight end Cethan Carter were ruled out earlier this week.
- Riley is in full support of the NCAA’s proposal to add a 10th full-time coach. Many folks, myself included, think that if the Huskers keep their coaching staff as-is for the 2017 season that GA Tavita Thompson would be the logical addition. Thompson currently works with tight ends on the Huskers’ staff.
The Huskers will travel to Bloomington, Indiana, tomorrow to take on the Hoosiers at 2:30 CDT Saturday.
