BYU Leads Nebraska 24-14 At Half

Bruce Thorson-USA TODAY Sports

BYU leads the Nebraska Cornhuskers 24-14 at half after Taysom Hill threw for two scores and ran for another. Hill finished the half 17-of-25 for 231 yards.

Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong started well, going 10-for-12 for 156 yards and two touchdowns. After that he proceeded to go 3-for-15 for 47 yards. Jordan Westerkamp has five receptions for 84 yards receiving and a touchdown in the first half. Alonzo Moore has three receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown.

Nebraska's run game is non-existent, having rushed the ball 17 times for 34 yards.

The offensive line is having a difficult time getting anything going against the BYU defense, and Nebraska's defensive line is not getting much of a pass rush going against BYU's offensive line. This has allowed BYU's Hill to stand back and target receivers as he sees fit as the Nebraska secondary is having a difficult time guarding the tall Cougar receivers.

Nebraska's eight penalties haven't helped matters either.

The second half is up shortly!!!!
