Corn Flakes: A Decent Big Ten Weekend

The Big Ten had a pretty decent weekend with only Rutgers and Maryland losing, although those losses were pretty lousy. Rutgers should have beaten a lost Washington State team, and you can read the article below about Maryland being embarrassed by Bowling Green.

Michigan State took care of business, and although they very nearly choked things away to Oregon, they still won, and I think in the process looked better than their opponent.

BERT was the ultimate embarrassment for the weekend - bitching about Ohio State's schedule and then losing at home to Toledo, another team from Ohio. BERT may be suffering the same ailment that appears to have killed Mike Leach's coaching career; BERT coming to love the sound of his own voice so much that he forgets he's being paid to do a job that involves more than him showing up and blathering on at a group of media people.
