Beatrice 2018 TE Cameron Jurgens Commits To Nebraska Thursday

The Huskers pick up a commitment from a young, four-star, tight end from down the road. It may be a while before he is on campus, but he looks like an exciting prospect at a position likely to be showcased more under the Riley regime.

Mike Riley is wasting no time in locking down the 'magical' 500 mile radius, pulling in Cameron Jurgens from Beatrice.

Check out Jurgens' recruiting profile.

He is listed as the 47th best player in the '18 cycle, 4th best TE in class, #1 player in State of Nebraska. He committed to Nebraska at their first Fall Camp practice tonight, where he was visiting.

Take a look at his highlights (freshman highlights!) on Hudl:

This is a refreshing turn in Nebraska recruiting in that Riley's staff is working hard to develop relationships with local talent early and make them feel welcome and wanted. He is Nebraska's first commitment of the 2018 class. Welcome to Husker Nation Cam!
