Nebrasketball: Big Ten Releases Nebraska's Conference Schedule

The Huskers load up on Saturday games this year.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers learned of their 18 Big Ten Conference games on Thursday, as the B1G Headquarters released their schedule for all to see.

The Huskers stay at Pinnacle Bank Arena for their first 2 games with Northwestern and Indiana, then head on the road for their only matchup with Iowa, which is preceded by shipping out to New Jersey to take on Rutgers.

The Huskers head home for a game vs. Minnesota before heading on the road for 2 straight games again, heading to Illinois and Michigan State before a home tilt with Michigan.

Nebraska closes out January with a trip to Purdue, marking the halfway point in Big Ten play.

February starts off for Nebraska with 2 straight home games vs. Maryland and Rutgers. From there, Nebraska alternates home and away games for the rest of the B1G schedule with Wisconsin, Penn State, Indiana, Ohio State (picked for a either or date, kinda odd), Penn State again, Purdue, and finally Northwestern on the road.

Nebraska loads up on Saturday games, as currently only one weekend game in the B1G schedule is slated for a Sunday, with the possibility that the Ohio St game is added to the back half of the weekend. To compare to last year, Nebraska didn't have a Saturday game past their game at Penn State, with only one B1G home game scheduled, the victory over Michigan State.

Nebraska looks to bounce back from a 13-18 season in 2014-15, a year removed from making the NCAA Tournament. The season kicks off when Nebraska hosts Mississippi Valley State at Pinnacle Bank Arena November 14th.
