Flakes: Pumpkins, BYU, Abdullah, Tingelhoff, and Women's BB Down Under

New, 15 comments

Ranchbabe is trying to appease the pumpkin gods with sacrifices, BYU is having a rough fall camp, and the Lions defense is finding it difficult to tackle Ameer Abdullah. We could have told them that.

Not much of an introduction to Flakes today. I have been busy trying to keep up with the weeds in the garden (HAHAHAHA) and offering sacrifices (weed carcasses) to the pumpkin gods (errrr, pumpkin patch) in an effort to appease the greedy vines. If you do not get a Flakes next week, send Lil Red to look for me. Tell him to bring Roundup.

The Huskers' first football opponent's rough offseason is getting rougher

Brigham Young University (BYU) has quite a bit of speculation swirling around them already. Is their injured quarterback recovered enough to regain the Heisman hype from last season? Unfortunately, fall camp does not appear to be going any better for the Cougars:

A shorthanded Husker women's basketball team got an elusive win to close out their tour. Make no mistake though, this trip was less about basketball and more about bringing together a young group that will need to gel quickly to reach their goals this season.
