Two Nebraska Cornhuskers were named to respective Postseason Award Watch Lists on Tuesday morning.

Nebraska Quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. was named to the Maxwell Award Watch List. The Junior signal caller from the San Antonio, Texas area threw for almost 2700 yards last year, his first full season as a starter for the Huskers.

The Maxwell Award goes to the Collegiate Player of the Year, determined by the Maxwell Football Club. Oregon's Marcus Mariota won the award last season.

Meanwhile, Junior Defensive Tackle Maliek Collins was named to the Bednarik Award Watch List as well. The Kansas City DT had 45 total tackles last year as he started every game. Collins also scored 4.5 sacks on the campaign.

The Bednarik Award is named after Chuck Bednarik, the standout 2-way player that starred at both Penn and with the Philadelphia Eagles. Both the winner in Arizona LB Scooby Wright and runner-up Ohio State DE Joey Bosa return to attempt to win the award.

Both Armstrong and Collins highlight 12 Big Ten Conference players on each list.
