Happy Independence Day From All Of Us At Corn Nation

It's America's Birthday. Celebrate it so.

Happy Independence Day from us at Corn Nation.

It's the Fourth of July, and we all will be out spending our day having fun, eating grilled foods and either participating or watching others blow up free money made from you heading to the firework stand 2 hours before dusk with a willing MasterCard and kids.

While we don't expect news to come out of the Nebraska Cornhuskers Athletic Department, it doesn't mean we won't give it to you if it happens. If you do remember 2 years ago, Freedom Akinmoladun and Monte Harrison decided to destroy the evening of recruiting writers and verbally commit to Nebraska that day. Kind of interesting to see where they both went after their commitment.

Freedom: Redshirted at TE and moved to Defensive End.

Monte: Signed with Nebraska, but was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers and decided that was better than Lincoln. Currently back in rookie ball with the Helena (Montana) Brewers after struggling with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, the A Ball level for Milwaukee. Harrison's career slash line? .201/.324/.303. That is not good.

Anyhow... show us what you're doing in the comments. Have fun, be safe, see you Sunday.
