The Nebraska Basketball team announced on Monday that Anton Gill has finished the transfer process and will continue his career as a Husker. Gill who was a top 50 prospect coming out of high school had announced that he would transfer from Louisville in late march.
Gill will look to start at Nebraska after seeing action off the bench in his first two seasons. Gill will likely be a candidate to replace Shavon Shields after Shields graduates. Gill will sit out the 2015-2016 season as part of the transfer process.
The scouting report on Gill is that he is an above average athlete, who can compete above the rim. Gill will need to improve his shooting. In limited playing time at Louisville, Gill shot 17-68 from behind the arc. Gill also is a poor free throw shooter as he has shot below 40% in limited playing time.
With the addition of Gill, Nebraska will now have four top 150 players on it's roster for the 2016-2017 season with Gill, Glynn Watson, Andrew White III, and Ed Morrow.
