Terran Petteway's Mother Passes Away After a Battle With Cancer

Joetta Petteway, mother of junior Nebraska basketball guard Terran Petteway, passed away late Tuesday evening after a battle with cancer. Earlier on Tuesday, Nebraska had announced that Petteway and coach Tim Miles would hold a news conference Wednesday morning, apparently to discuss whether or not Petteway would return to Nebraska next season. His mother's illness had weighed heavily on Petteway's mind all season long, undoubtedly affecting his play.

That news conference has been postponed until next week, as Petteway heads home to Galveston, Texas to be with his family and prepare for the funeral.
