Nebraska Baseball Goes for Season Sweep of Creighton

Nebraska looks to get back on track after a rough weekend in Iowa.

Steven Branscombe-USA TODAY Sports

The Nebraska Baseball team will look to find their bats once again as they go for the season sweep of Creighton. Nebraska looks to extend their dominance over Creighton as they have won the last 4 games in the series. Nebraska will send Garett King out to face the Jays while the home team will counter with Jack Rogalla.

King has faced the Jays twice this season, throwing 8 innings in Lincoln, and then throwing 5.2 innings in Omaha. Rogalla has not faced the Huskers this season. Of note, Rogalla played for Binghamton last season, who the Huskers eliminated in the NCAA tournament.

Nebraska is using an unorthodox lineup, as they have moved Blake Headley up to the 2 hole hitting right behind Ryan Boldt. Jake Schleppenbach has been moved down to the 8 spot, while Taylor Fish gets the start over Tanner Lubach. Lubach may still be feeling the effects of a hard slide on Sunday.

Tonight's game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network. Creighton is expecting over 10,000 fans tonight.
