Gamethread: Nebraska Baseball vs Minnesota

Nebraska goes for the series win at home

After a bounce back performance, the Nebraska Baseball team will look to take the series against the Minnesota Golden Gophers Sunday afternoon. Nebraska will send Derek Burkamper to the hill to face Minnesota starting pitcher Tim Shannon.

Nebraska will look to find the right combination of patience and aggressiveness on Sunday afternoon. Minnesota has struggled to throw strikes as they walked nine Husker batters last night. Shannon has given up 38 hits in 34 innings pitched, so the Huskers should be able to get to him.

Head Coach Darin Erstad has loaded the lineup with left handed batters to face the righty, Wes Edrington and Tanner Lubach are the only two right handed hitters in the lineup. Austin Christensen gets his second consecutive start at first base, while the rest of the defense stays the same from last night.
