Gallery: Spring Game

Football was in the air as the first ever Mike Riley led Spring Practice session came to a completion. The Huskers unveiled the beginnings of the new offense and defense that will the field for the Big Red in September. It will remain to be seen how much of what we saw today will carry over to the fall, but today was about a new beginning for a program and a coach, one looking to get back to the mountain top, the other looking to get there for the first time.

76,881 fans showed up for the party which saw the Red Team control most of the action and holding off a late White Team charge to win 24-15. A couple of old faces led the way as De'Mornay Pierson-El showed off his punt return skills. New faces AJ Bush and Zach Darlington showed they might have a say in the QB race. And Sam Foltz reminded us he's still a pretty good open field tackler...er...punter.
