Another Big Ten baseball weekend is upon us!
Minnesota comes to Lincoln for a series this weekend. The Gophers have not had a very good season so far. The Gophers are at the bottom in the conference in team ERA (6.29), 11th in team batting (.264, up from .245 over the last four games), and 8th in team fielding (.966).
Nebraska leads the all-time series with Minnesota 8-19, and swept the Gophers last year in Minnesota. The Gophers Friday starter, Ben Meyer, has a 5.65 ERA in eight starts. Sunday's starter, Tim Shannon, has a 5.82 ERA in six starts. Dalton Sawyer has the lowest ERA of any Gopher starting pitcher, and he stands at 5.01, in six starts and eight appearances.
