Gallery: Another Nebraska vs. Texas Classic

It wasn't the first time Texas and Nebraska locked up for a game of the ages. A decade, almost to the day, the two schools nearly matched the drama of the epic that took place at Haymerket Park ten years ago. Again, it was the Huskers who came out on top. Nebraska and Texas were locked in a pitchers duel right up until the end as neither team was able to scratch the score card. NU's Kyle Kubat and UT's Kacy Clemens matched each other zero for zero and each team's bullpen was up to the task as well.

The Huskers had several scoring attempts but failed to convert any of them before they finally broke through in the fifteenth when Austin Darby lined a single over the shortstop to score Tanner Lubach with the game's only run. The win was the 12th in their last 13 and clinched the series win over the Longhorns. The Huskers look to continue their hot streak and complete the sweep this afternoon when Derek Burkamper and Chad Hollingsworth face off to wrap up the series.
