Dumb old Texas comes to Lincoln for a weekend baseball series against Nebraska, the first time since 2011 (the two teams met in Texas in 2013), and the first time since Nebraska left the Big 12. This series means the return of Augie Garrido and I hope he's greeted warmly with all the heckling that a Haymarket Park crowd can muster against that crusty sonofabitch. Texas (17-8, 5-1 Big 12) is ranked as high as 16th and are 9-1 in their last 10 games.
We'll have a Q&A with Texas later this morning, so check back.
Weather is looking less than friendly. The Friday high is 48, low at 32. Saturday forecast is better with a high of 56, and a low of 40, but mostly sunny. Sunday has a high of 66, low of 35 with possible showers and wind later in the day.
