The Nebraska Baseball team continues their home stand as they host the Cal State Fullerton for the first time ever in Nebraska. Fullerton is no slouch to Nebraska, as they are a perennial contender to go to Omaha behind stellar pitching, timely hitting, and solid defense. A win against Fullerton would be Nebraska's most impressive win this season.
Darin Erstad and the Huskers will start Garett King while Fullerton will start Connor Seabold. Seabold and King are both freshmen who have made a strong early impact with their teams. Nebraska will look for another strong start behind Ryan Boldt who will lead off for the Huskers.
If the Huskers can get an early lead, look for the back of the bullpen to lock down the game. Nebraska pitching overally has been spectacular, allowing only 2.61 runs per game, ranking fourth in the nation.
Weather is expected to be less than ideal with cold and damp conditions at Hawks Field.
