Former Nebraska Cornhuskers Defensive Line Coach Rick Kaczenski was arrested and booked into the Lancaster County, Nebraska jail on Sunday afternoon.
Kaczenski, who was the DL coach at Nebraska from 2012 to 2014, was booked at 3:36pm on a third degree Domestic Assault charge.
Third degree Domestic Assault is listed as such in the State of Nebraska:
(1) A person commits the offense of domestic assault in the third degree if he or she:
(a) Intentionally and knowingly causes bodily injury to his or her intimate partner;
(b) Threatens an intimate partner with imminent bodily injury; or
(c) Threatens an intimate partner in a menacing manner.
Kaczenski was released from his position with Nebraska after the Holiday Bowl game, after the dismissal of Bo Pelini as head coach back on November 30. To my knowledge, there's no suggestion of where Kaz has possibly interviewed, as he did not follow Pelini to Youngstown State when Bo took that job.
It is unsure whether Kaz has posted bond or not. When we know, you will know.
UPDATE: Per a report from 10/11, Kaz committed the crime between the hours of 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. Saturday night. Also, Kaz has not bonded out of jail as of an hour ago.
