Nebraska welcomes Indiana State back to Hawks field on Wednesday afternoon for the conclusion of their two game midweek series. Nebraska took game one of the series on Tuesday 4-3 to extend their win streak to six games.
Ryan Boldt will look to continue his hot hitting ways. Boldt raised his batting average back up to .394 with a pair of hits on Tuesday. The Husker offense was held to only six hits, but did draw eight walks.
While the offense drew eight walks, the pitching staff only issued one. After receiving five innings from Garett King, the Huskers turned the ball over to their lethal combination of Jeff Chestnut, Colton Howell, and Josh Roeder. They combined for four innings, striking out six.
The Huskers are scheduled to start Zack Engelken, while the Sycamores are scheduled to start Trent Lunsford. Lunsford has six appearances on the year all out of the bullpen. Look for the Huskers to try and get to him early to be able to take advantage of Indiana State's bullpen.
First pitch is scheduled for 1:35 with temperatures in the 50's expected.
