Nebraska Baseball Gamethread: FGCU Game 2

After winning the Friday opener, Nebraska looks to secure a series victory on Saturday afternoon.

The Nebraska Baseball team gets back on the diamond this afternoon as they take on the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles for the second game in their three game series. After defeating the Eagles Friday afternoon, Nebraska will try and run it's current win streak to four games.

Nebraska is schedule to start Kyle Kubat Saturday afternoon. Kubat has been brilliant on the young season so far. Kubat shut down Hawaii last weeked picking up his second win of the season. Kubat will be opposed by Devin Smeltzer of the Eagles. Smeltzer went 4 innings last weekend, giving up 3 runs to Minnesota.

The Nebraska offense will look to continue the momentum they built yesterday. The Huskers had 12 hits including four doubles. Luis Alvarado is back in the lineup, along with Steven Reveles. Head Coach Darin Erstad has moved Ryan Boldt down to the 3 spot.  The lineup as provided by Erstad is shown below.

Weather at Hawks field is expected to be near 70 with full sun.
