Corn Flakes: Riley Hires Czar Of High School Relations

David McGee

Brasfield Joins Nebraska Football Staff - Huskers.com - Nebraska Athletics Official Web Site

University of Nebraska Head Coach Mike Riley has announced the addition of Chris Brasfield to the Husker football staff. Brasfield will serve as Nebraska’s Director of High School Relations. Brasfield joins the Nebraska staff following four seasons of working with Riley at Oregon State. Brasfield served as the Beavers’ running backs coach for the past four seasons and was regarded as an elite recruiter for Oregon State.

Director? Why not Emperor of High School Relations? Granda Pooba. Or better yet, CZAR OF HIGH SCHOOL RELATIONS.

I don't really have an opinion here, but I know what you're thinking. It's another guy from Oregon State. He doesn't know anything about Nebraska High School football.

He's a czar! Coaches will flock to him!

He has "Bras" in his name, though, so he's already part of Nebraska.... that's all I got.

That was awful, wasn't it?

(BTW, I'd love to hear from you if you're a Nebraska high school coach, about what you think of what's happening so far with this new regime.)

Coaches see versatility in RB room

Given Nebraska’s depth in the running back room and the variation among Imani Cross, Terrell Newby, Devine Ozigbo, Adam Taylor and Mikale Wilbon, assistant Reggie Davis has a plethora of options to work with going forward.

If you have five good running backs, does that mean you don't have one great one?

More homes have turned to online video with 40 percent of U.S. homes subscribing to a streaming service such as Netflix, Amazon Instant Video or Hulu.

This is moving very quickly. That big ol' sports bubble that the colleges have relied on for all that newfound cash might be gone by the time the next contracts come up.
