Nebraska Baseball Hosts Northern Colorado in First Home Game

After playing their first 13 games on the road, the Cornhuskers return home to host the Northern Colorado Bears in a pair of midweek games.

The Nebraska baseball team returns home to begin a 16 game home stand on Tuesday afternoon. The home stand will begin with the Huskers taking on the Northern Colorado Bears for a pair of contests during the midweek. Both contest will start at 1:35.

The Bears have played two four game series to open up their 2015 schedule. They lost both series, but have shown the ability to put together a good offense. The Bears already have four home runs in just eight games. The Bears pitching has not been as fortunate, as they average giving up just under 8 runs per game.

The Huskers have been the exact opposite of the Bears, as they are coming off a weekend where they scored a total of 7 runs. The Huskers will look to find an offensive rhythm during the midweek.

The Huskers pitching has excelled on the early season. The Huskers will send freshman Garett King to the mound for game one, followed by freshman Zack Engelken in game two.

Erstad has moved Ryan Boldt up to the number 2 in the lineup among a number of changes to the Husker lineup.

The we

ather is expected to be in the low to possibly mid 70's with plenty of sunshine. Expect a large Husker crowd.
