The Huskers hit the road to try and pick up their first conference road victory against Penn State. The Huskers are coming off a victory against Northwestern, where they shot the ball well, and played solid defense. Penn State is coming off a loss at Maryland where they were in the game late, but just could not quite pull off the upset.

The key for the Huskers will be to contain D.J. Newbill as he leads Penn State with 21.3 ppg. No one else for the lions averages over 10. The Huskers got Walter Pitchford going in their win over Northwestern, as Pitchford had 14 points, only the third double digit effort from a Husker in conference play this season. If the Huskers could get Pitchford going, they could make a run in the last part of the season.
