The Huskers baseball team gets back on the diamond this afternoon, as they prepare for a back to back doubleheader against the Cougars of Brigham Young. After yesterday's ninth inning fireworks, the Huskers will look to sweep this doubleheader, as they send seniors Chance Sinclair and Kyle Kubat to the mound in games one and two respectively.
Sophomore Ryan Boldt will look to continue his hot hitting ways, after he was 3-4 at the plate yesterday with two runs scored for the Huskers. The Huskers will look to take advantage of the wildness of Brigham Young pitcher Jeff Barker in game one. Barker walked 6 batters last weekend in five innings, taking the loss. In game two starter Brandon Kinser, the Huskers should be able to get into the bullpen quickly, as Kinser will be on a pitch limit.
When the game's reach the bullpen stage, the Huskers will have the advantage, as showcased by yesterday's late inning dramatics. Nebraska should be aiming for a doubleheader sweep, which would put the Huskers over the .500 mark.
