Know your opponent: BYU

The Cougars are looking for their first victory of the season after being swept by UC Santa Barbara last weekend. The Cougars were projected to be a 22 win team by D1Baseball this year, so Nebraska should be able to take 3 wins this set, putting them back over .500 on the season.

Last Week: 1-2 vs UNLV

The Huskers took 1 of a 3 game set in Las Vegas to start the season vs. the Rebels. Nebraska took the season opener on Friday by the score of 2-0, but lost the last two to give up the set. On Saturday, UNLV won in extras 5-3, while they finished the rubber match Sunday by the score of 3-0. As a team, the Huskers only hit .194 for the weekend, with a .317 OBP. That's not great, but the Rebels are not a bad team. With 5 or more At Bats, Ryan Boldt, Jake Schleppenbach and Ben Miller are tied with .333 Batting Averages.

Pitching wise, Chance Sinclar has the only victory on the staff with his win off the start on Friday. The staff didn't do badly, only giving up a .280 batting average & a 2.88 ERA. But when your offense doesn't get off the schnide, well you have to be almost perfect.
