Nebraska Baseball vs UNLV Rebels: Open Thread

After shutting out the Rebels last night, the Husker baseball team is back in action this afternoon as they look to secure the series victory. The Huskers used a patient approach at the plate last night working, drawing four walks. Blake Headley drove in the winning run in the top of the first inning on a bases loaded sacrifice fly, scoring Austin Darby.

Tonight the Huskers will turn to Kyle Kubat to try and keep the momentum rolling. Nebraska pitchers recorded 14 strikeouts last night, including a five strikeout effort from Jake Hohensee. The Rebels will turn to Kenny Oakley to try and even the series. Oakley is a veteran pitcher who will test the Huskers.

There is only one change from the starters from last night, as Christian Cox will get the start in left field over Luis Alvarado.
