When you take a look at Mel Kiper's Mock Draft 2.0 that was released today, the Nebraska Cornhuskers stay in the top 5 with Randy Gregory going to the Washington Redskins at that spot.
The words of Kiper come through as such:
Gregory -- a freak athlete who brings scheme versatility, the ability to disrupt in the passing game and hold up a lot better than many realize against the run -- would be a fit for any team drafting in the top five, because you just can't beat the upside as a disruptive force on defense.
Personally, I think Gregory is probably getting a little too much love from Kiper on the whole run defense angle. However, with the extra weight, RG could probably get better at that. Also, with the impending loss of Brian Orakpo to Free Agency, it could make a whole lot of sense for this to happen.
Gregory would be joining former Huskers Roy Helu Jr, Will Compton, Niles Paul and Spencer Long as players. Also, former Nebraska Head Coach Bill Callahan has become the Offensive Line coach for Jay Gruden, the HC of the Redskins.
