It wasn't a pretty at times, but the Huskers slogged their way to a 73-63 win over Abilene Christian. NU was led by Andrew White III who set new career highs in points (30), rebounds (seven) and steals (four) led the charge. Shavon Shields also played well, pouring in 21, his second straight game eclipsing the 20 point mark.

The Huskers struggled to put the Wildcats away as they answered every NU surge, staying within 10 points for most of the game.

The Nebraska win was their final contest before the annual in-state showdown with the Creighton Bluejays. Wednesday's game will feature two teams coming off sluggish performances as the Jays dropped an ugly game to Loyola-Chicago, 68-65. The Huskers have not won a regular season game in Omaha vs. CU in 20 years. NU will look to end that streak as they look to hand Creighton their third consecutive loss. The game will tip at 7 p.m. at the CenturyLink Center.
