Here we are folks, our first game of the year. It's an exhibition against Northern State but a game none the less. Hopefully if you are not going to the game you are either watching it on TV or listening to it on the radio.

As of now, it looks like the Huskers will be starting Shavon Shields, Tai Webster, Benny Parker, Andrew White and either Jake Hammond or Ed Morrow. Shields, Webster, and Parker are all bring back deep experience from last year and should all be major contributors. Hopefully their extended shooting has improved and we see more production for the season.

Andrew White, who put up big points in the Wyoming scrimmage last week, should also be a major factor on the floor. Jake Hammond is our biggest big man will most likely have ample playing time even if freshman Ed Morrow starts ahead of him.

A interest tonight will be which one of the players will bring the largest amount of leadership to the floor. I can't imagine we will be tested too much against Northern State but if we are, someone will need to step up on the court and take lead of the team. It was something that was severely lacking last year and needs to be addressed before the season gets too far underway.
