As is his usual method, Mike Riley began his weekly press conference referencing the good and bad from the previous game, now that the coaches have had a chance to review the video.
Riley notes no fumble, no sacks; also think, if I remember, there were no second-half penalties.

Mike Riley at podium. Lauding WRs, Reeves, Sterup, Lewis, Cethan Carter, Cross. #huskers
— Samuel McKewon (@swmckewonOWH) November 9, 2015
Riley: D had a good start, probably best tackling game, gave up TDs, Young, Banderas, Jones, Maurice. #huskers
— Samuel McKewon (@swmckewonOWH) November 9, 2015
Oh, and SHOT FIRED!
Riley: Our KR looks like returns now.

"Really bad timing" on the Armstrong interception by Riley Bullough at the goal line, Riley says. Good analysis.
— Mitch Sherman (@mitchsherman) November 9, 2015
Riley: some of the run/pass option decisions were not good. #huskers
— Samuel McKewon (@swmckewonOWH) November 9, 2015
One of those may have been the 1st and goal screen pass to Westerkamp in the second half that lost three yards...right before the Bullough interception. Fans booed the calls at that time, and led to a "Run The Ball" chant at the start of the fourth quarter when the Huskers got back in the red zone.
Too many uncontested plays in the secondary, Riley said. Also points out the zero sacks. #Huskers

Riley said Westy is OK to practice today, Alonzo Moore question mark, Stanley Morgan probable, B Reilly probable, T Newby probable.
— Brian Christopherson (@HuskerExtraBC) November 9, 2015
Riley lauds Westy’s toughness. Said he’s the prototype slot.
— Samuel McKewon (@swmckewonOWH) November 9, 2015
Jordan Westerkamp took quite a bit of abuse on Saturday night; I'm somewhat surprised that he wasn't named Big Ten offensive player of the week.
Kevin Williams also talked about his groin injury:
"It's rough. I'll put it that way. I'm not all the way there," said defensive tackle Kevin Williams of his groin injury. #Huskers
— Brian Rosenthal (@HuskerExtraBR) November 9, 2015
Riley says Cethan Carter was "tenacious" with his blocking. #Huskers Receivers blocked well, too.
— Steven M. Sipple (@HuskerExtraSip) November 9, 2015
Riley: probably underutilized carter this year. More of a continuity issue than anything else.
— Samuel McKewon (@swmckewonOWH) November 9, 2015
A quick hit on Rutgers:
Riley on Rutgers: good LBs, great returner, multiple pro style offense.
— Samuel McKewon (@swmckewonOWH) November 9, 2015
Let's find out what's up with Leonte Carroo later this week, who's missed the last two weeks with a high ankle sprain. In fact, check out Rutgers' injury list which lists 21 names...
Riley wishes he could have done the squib kick differently. Said MSU was bunched up on return. Should have kicked it deep.
— Samuel McKewon (@swmckewonOWH) November 9, 2015
Riley on departure of Jordan Stevenson: "The ideal way to recruit somebody is through a long period of time," which didn't occur with him.
— Mitch Sherman (@mitchsherman) November 9, 2015
Mike Riley said Jordan Stevenson felt fit wasn't right here, wishes him the best.
— Brian Rosenthal (@HuskerExtraBR) November 9, 2015
Riley said he’d like to get half the class from 500 mile radius, half outside.
— Samuel McKewon (@swmckewonOWH) November 9, 2015
Nebraska can't rely solely on the 500 mile radius, becuase Nebraska's 500 mile radius is a relative disadvantage. There simply aren't enough Nate Gerry's in the Dakotas to rely on the region like other schools can.
Riley being asked for highest number of hip hip hoorays he's done after a game. It might have been Saturday. They did 10 of them. #Huskers
— Brian Christopherson (@HuskerExtraBC) November 9, 2015
Players loved the atmosphere Saturday night...especially the musical selection from stadium DJ Chris Pankonin.
Kevin Williams wants 'Let Me Clear My Throat' to be #Huskers new anthem. "Whoever’s in charge of that, make it happen." Take note @chrispank
— Robin Washut (@RobinWashut) November 9, 2015
Your wish is his command.
Let Me Clear My Throat is here to stay, everyone, don't worry. When the moment is right, its on! #GBR
— Chris Pankonin (@chrispank) November 9, 2015
Much like what Sirius became in 1994, "Let Me Clear My Throat" is now going to be a Husker tradition moving forward.
Jordan Westerkamp talked about his night.
"I just had to sit there and breathe. I had a bit of a headache going." Jordan Westerkamp said of his last injury
— Brian Rosenthal (@HuskerExtraBR) November 9, 2015
Westerkamp said he went through concussion protocol when he went in locker room and again after game; passed.
— Brian Rosenthal (@HuskerExtraBR) November 9, 2015
Had the game kept on going, Westerkamp said he doubts he would've returned.
— Brian Rosenthal (@HuskerExtraBR) November 9, 2015
Brady Hoke doesn't coach at Nebraska.
Westerkamp if he's ever taken such a beating in a game: "Not that I can remember." Unintentional great line. #Huskers
— Brian Christopherson (@HuskerExtraBC) November 9, 2015
"I believe in our team. We can do this. Keep fighting." -- Westerkamp on his thoughts during final drive.
— Brian Rosenthal (@HuskerExtraBR) November 9, 2015
