Did you get fired yesterday?

No? Lucky you, but are you really sure?

Lots of people got fired yesterday. Perhaps you were one of them, but weren't contacted immediately because your boss forgot your name. He let me know he wanted to get rid of "that unkempt guy who sits at desk #6" and be sure to let you know to not bother coming in today, but I forgot your name too.

You have something in common with all the other people who got fired yesterday. You're a loser, or more appropriately, not enough of a winner. We boxed up your stuff; you can find it on top your desk. Your co-workers have already rifled through it; that's what you get for being late, again. They might have taken everything, and by everything I mean even that one decent looking photo of you and your way too hot for you girlfriend.

Those other people who got fired are getting buyouts. Some, even those who failed miserably, are getting large buyouts, big enough to buy a large boat and sail around the world, possibly with your former girlfriend who'll be happy to be with a guy who makes a decent income.

Don't feel so bad. I saved you a pencil. Has our logo on it. You can have it to remember me by.
