Nebraska vs Northwestern. We call ourselves "NU". The rest of the Big Ten calls Northwestern "NU". It's another Battle for NU weekend, with the winner getting the rights to call themselves "NU" for the rest of the year.*

Nebraska leads the series with Northwestern 6-2, and the Huskers have won the last three in a row since losing in 2011, 28-25.

Let's take a quick look at who's favored this weekend:

Nebraska 2015 FPI - Cornhuskers - ESPN
73.4% Nebraska win over Northwestern.

Week 8 S&P+ picks - Football Study Hall
What the hell? 62.8% probability of Northwestern win?

Nebraska favored by 7 or 7.5 depending upon whose line you're looking at.

*No one ever really recognizes this, although I rarely use "NU" to describe Nebraska unless I'm on twitter where characters are expensive.

Nebraska Gets Ready For Northwestern - - Nebraska Athletics Official Web Site

Coach Mike Riley first addressed injuries. Players that will not play Saturday include Luke Gifford, Chris Weber, David Knevel, Kevin Williams and Kevin Maurice. The players returning from injury include Freedom Akinmoladun, Michael Rose-Ivey, Nick Gates, Daniel Davie and David Sutton.

Those are a pretty decent set of players returning from injury. I know most don't want to see Davie on the field again but he needs to get his confidence back. We didn't really get a chance to see what Sutton can do at tight end. And who doesn't want FREEDOM?
