Series Record: Nebraska and Minnesota have met 55 times on the gridiron. Prior to joining the Big Ten, Nebraska had met Minnesota more than any other non-conference opponent. Minnesota has won 31, Nebraska 22 and two games have ended in ties. The Huskers will be looking to end a two-game losing streak to the Golden Gophers. Minnesota has won tight games each of the past two years over Nebraska, after the Huskers had won 16 straight in the series. The first meeting was in 1900, in Lincoln which ended in a 20-12 Gopher win. The largest margin of victory for Minnesota was 54-0 in 1943. For Nebraska, it was 84-13 in 1983.
