The Nebraska Men's Basketball team lost last night, but Tuesday afternoon, they picked up their fourth recruit of the 2014-15 recruiting class they hope will help win more games down the road. NU assistant coach Chris Harriman broke the news in as best he could, initially causing speculation Omaha native Akoy Agau had committed.

Instead, it was Jake McVeigh.
Just committed with The University Of Nebraska , ecstatic to join the family with @CoachMiles @chrisharriman24 and the team! #GOBIGRED

The Aussie, one of the top players in Australia under the age of 18 confirmed it shortly thereafter beoming the fourth commit for the next recruiting class. Barring any transfers or early departures, this will fill NU's scholarship allottment.
McVeigh is a 6' 8" power forward with tremendous shooting ability. He is fairly slight and will need to pack on a few pounds before he takes on the physical pounding that awaits in the Big Ten, but his skill set seems right in line for what Miles seems to like in his recruits: long, lean and versatile. Next season, nearly half of the players on scholarship will be between 6' 6" and 6' 8".
The Huskers currently have all 13 scholarships accounted for the 2015-16 season. Agau is making his official visit to NU this week. For him (or anybody else, for that matter) to join the roster, someone else would have to leave the program.
For the players currently on the roster, the Huskers next take the court Thursday evening vs. Rutgers, looking to pick up their first conference win in the friendly confines of Pinnacle Bank Arena. Tip off is at 8 pm.
