Reggie Davis, who was the Offensive Line coach for the San Francisco 49ers last season, will become the Running Back coach for the Huskers this season, per Nate Clouse of Rivals.
Davis has spent his last four seasons with the Niners, as he was the Tight Ends coach for the Niners the previous three seasons. Davis's connection to Riley is that he was the Running Backs coach with the Oregon State Beavers for three years (2008-2010). In that timeframe, he make Jacquizz Rogers the first Freshman to ever win the Pac 12 Offensive Most Valuable Player award at RB.
Davis played for the University of Washington as a Tight End, and was a San Diego Charger for two seasons (1999-2000).
Davis will replace Ron Brown as the Nebraska Running Backs coach.
