Corn Flakes: The Video Game Season Has Begun

Kind of not worth the money, really.

I spent last night playing video games instead of paying attention to any kind of news, checking out Twitter or looking on Facebook for what might be considered the big news of the day.

I bought the family a PS4 for Christmas which really means my youngest son will take it and stick it in his room as he's done and I'll probably get to play it sometime in 2017. The PS4 came with Grand Theft Auto and The Last of Us, and I purchased Dragon Age: Inquisition because it seemed like a game you couldn't beat in a day.

The purchase of the PS4 means that I finally get to use the PS3, though, so it isn't all bad. I spent last night playing Destiny. It's okay, but way too short and there is absolutely not story line whatsoever. It's like they tried to make a story just to market the fact they had a story line. I like the concept of cooperative online missions, but, again, the game itself is way too short and should have been priced at $29.99 at launch.

I started Far Cry and Bioshock Infinite, but at the beginning of Far Cry you have to be stealthy and I friggin' hate being stealthy. I'll probably go back and look at them later on when football season is more distant.

The Xbox 360 remains in place. I play World of Tanks a lot on that because it's mostly mindless and each mission is relatively short so you can stop and do other stuff whenever you want. And I haven't beat Borderlands Pre-Sequel yet, so there's that.

I have resolved to cut down on my video game playing, though and make time for other things. What you up to?
